I am from Turkey and we were also expecting our first baby boy. We went to the routine ultrasound control as my wifes pregancy was 23 weeks. Until that control all doctors, all the tests they made were totaly normal and our doctors (5 different doctors) kept saying everything was ok.
The doctor who made the detailed ultrasound inspection found out our baby had enourmous brain problems and wouldn’t live, they called the problem as semilobar holoprosencefaly. I cant describe the pain in my heart.. all hope was gone.. all my dreams.. feeling hopeless, I couldnt stop my tears. The council of doctors agreed the termination of the pregnancy and 3 days later thay had to take our baby with cesarien because he came reverse and at the normal birth process the head of the baby could have split off. Afterwards they took him out. The doctor said the baby was dead.
It was a nightmare now me and my wife are trying to recover from this nightmare.
